At 10:00 the COA will hear the case of Julie Dauenhauer v. Steven Dauenhauer.
Steven and Julie married twice. The first time was for 20 years and they had two sons. Two years after their 2001 divorce, they remarried. During the second marriage, she became a nurse practitioner while Steven, because of his religious beliefs, quit his job as an aeronautic mechanic to become an associate pastor and school bus driver. The chancellor ordered an award of rehabilitative alimony to Steven in the amount of $2,000.00 per month for a period of 48 months and attorney’s fees and costs in the amount of $8,540.75. Julia appeals these awards. She also argues that the court erred in valuing the marital estate as of the date of the trial rather than the date of the entry of a temporary order regarding the property.
