At 1:30 the MSSC will hear the case involving the Ridgeland rezoning of land south of the Renaissance Shopping Center to allow for a Costco also known as Gerald Beard, et al. v. City of Ridgeland.
Costco’s opponents argue that Ridgeland illegally amended the zoning ordinances to add “Large Master Planned Commercial Development” as a new Permitted Use in districts zoned C-2 (General Commercial). This allowed Costco to build on the Highland Colony Parkway site.
