Oral arg. – COA – Nov. 30, 2016

At 1:30 the COA will hear the case of Arlene Carothers v. City of Water Valley.

Carothers was rear ended by a Water Valley police officer Marshal Jackson after Jackson  reached down to pick up his cell phone.  Carothers has found out the hard way that getting hit by a police car means that you are out of luck unless the officer was acting crazy reckless.  The trial court found that  City of Water Valley was immune pursuant to the Tort Claims Act.  Carothers appeals.
