Ex MBN agent’s cases draw scrutiny

According to an article in the Clarion Ledger,  a judge has dismissed thirty cases wherein former MBN agent Jeff Palmer was involved.

While working for the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics [1993-2006], Palmer forged the names of fellow agents to obtain drug buy money and initiated cases in other agents’ names, documents allege.

He flunked a polygraph test that asked him about using drug buy money for “personal use.”

He resigned from the MBN in 2006 after the allegations of misuse of money to buy drugs were raised.  He forged other agents’ names to sign out drug money.  In 2010 he became a drug agent for the Tishimingo County Sheriff’s office. but retired in October of 2014.

A fellow deputy reported that  Palmer told him that “he  sometimes got inside homes without warrants — placing fake 911 domestic disturbance calls and then following police inside.”  If Jeff Palmer was involved in any of your cases, you’ll want to check out this article.
