I have the flu (despite getting the vaccine in September) so it is going to take me a while to fill these in with more detailed descriptions.

Verenzo Green v. State – Verenzo Green was convicted of three counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and one count of trafficking stolen firearms.

Antonio Parks v. State –  Antonio Maurice Parks was convicted of possession of a schedule II controlled substance and sentenced to twenty-five years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC), with ten years suspended and fifteen years to serve, followed by five years of post-release supervision.

Terris Stevenson v. State – felony domestic violence – he argues the prosecution made an improper comment on appeal.

  1. Dear Jane,

sorry to hear you are not feeling well. The CDC blames “antigenic drift” which is doctor talk for “we didn’t accurately predict which strain of flu this year.” I also had the shot and got “the flu” this year, however, the shot probably did reduce your severity of symptoms.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

  2. I think it did reduce the severity of my symptoms. I had the flu three years ago. Got it the day AFTER I promised to do an emergency appeal for some guy whose client was about to go to jail because the brief had never been filed. I filed the brief three days later cursing my way through the whole thing and it eventually won. But that convinced me to get the vaccine every year.
